Friendly Match: India 0-3 Azerbaijan

The Indian national team lost its second preparation match ahead of the AFC Challenge Cup 2012. The Indian team led by Gouramangi Moirangthem Singh went down 0-3 to Azerbaijan.

India conceded once again an early goal, when Vüqar Nadirov took advantage of a mistake by keeper Subhasish Roy Chowdhury.

The Caucasian side coached by former Germany manager Berti Vogts increased their lead moments before the lemon break. Mahir Şükürov converted a penalty kick, after Raju Eknath Gaikwad brought down an Azerbaijani player in the Indian box.

Substitute Nizami Hacıyev sealed the victory for the former Soviet country in the 84th minute.
