India bows out of the AFC Challenge Cup 2012

The Indian national team has bowed out of the AFC Challenge Cup 2012 after a 0-2 defeat by the hands of the Philippines.

Phil Younghusband, a product of the youth setup of EPL side Chelsea FC, scored both goals for the “Azkals”.

Younghusband opened the scoresheet in the 11th minute and added a second one in the 73rd minute.

India will be playing a final group match against already qualified DPR Korea on Tuesday.
