The Football Players Association of India (FPAI) will be hosting its annual FPAI Indian Football Awards in Goa on May 12. Players, officials and fans are looking forward to the prestigious event and a perfect occasion to honour the best of the best in Indian football.

The FPAI will give away awards in five categories, namely FPAI Indian Player of the Year, FPAI Coach of the Year, FPAI Young Player of the Year, FPAI Foreign Player of the Year and FPAI Fans’ Player of the Year.

All the awards are based on votes collected from players playing in the I-League. The only award open to public is the Fans’ Player of the Year Award, which is done by voting of the fans.

The FPAI has announced six nominees for this year’s edition of the Fans’ Player of the Year Award.

The nominees are:
• Ranty Martins Soleye (Dempo SC / Nigeria)
• Sanju Pradhan (East Bengal Club / India)
• Odafe Onyeka Okolie (Mohun Bagan AC / Nigeria)
• Manandeep Singh (Air India / India)
• Tolgay Özbey (East Bengal Club / Australia)
• Francis Fernandes (Salgaocar SC / India)

The voting for the FPAI Fans’ Player of the Year Award is already open and will end on May 6.
