The Football Players Association of India (FPAI) has announced the nominees for this year’s edition of the prestigious FPAI Indian Football Awards.

The nominees have been determined on the basis of about 230 votes collected from across 14 I-League clubs. The winners of each category will be announced and honoured at a glamorous function in Goa on Saturday.

The winner in the “Fans Player of the Year” category has been voted by the football fans online at www.thefpai.net, while the winner of the inaugural “Best Managed Club” award has been decided by the 15 Executive Committee members.
The FPAI will also handover special memento to Mahesh Gawli, Climax Lawrence and Samir Naik. The three seasoned players retired from international football this year after playing for India for a long time.
