“A great era needs its international titles. No one will talk about a great era or a golden generation, if we don’t win titles within the years I belong to this club,” Lahm told German daily “Abendzeitung”.
“All of us are in the best age for footballers. We can’t expect to reach the Champions League final every second year. Players like Basti and myself don’t have that much time to win the title…”, Lahm continued.
Munich is expecting a lot from its heroes and one has to wait and see, if the mighty Bavarians can deliver against Chelsea FC.
