FC Bayern scores a win against the Netherlands

German giants FC Bayern Munich registered a 3-2 win against the Netherlands national team in their season closer just three days after the UEFA Champions League defeat by the hands of Chelsea FC.

Bayern took the lead, when a long-range effort by Toni Kroos found its way to the back of the net, but they conceded the equalizer just a minute later through Klaas Jan Huntelaar.

Indian origin winger Luciano Narsingh put the Dutch team ahead with a wonderful chip over Bayern keeper Joerg Butt in the 20th minute. Bayern came back eight minutes later as Nils Petersen slotted home to make it 2-2 at half-time.

A fine run by Franck Ribery down the left flank was finished off by Mario Gomez, who handed Bayern the winner in the final minutes of the game. Gomez put the ball past Netherlands keeper Vorm from a close distance to register a 3-2 win for a still disappointed Bayern team.

The match was the result of a dispute between Bayern and the Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB) with respect to the absence of Arjen Robben for one half of the 2010/11 season due to an injury sustained at the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ in South Africa.

PIO Luciano Narsingh had a quite impressive match on the right wing till he was replaced by Arjen Robben in the 77th minute.
