India U22 squad has arrived in Delhi

The Indian U22 national squad has arrived in Delhi for the AFC U22 Asian Cup Qualifiers preparation camp under the watchful eyes of Australian coach Arthur Papas.

The team had an evening swimming pool session today and Papas also had a meeting with the boys besides a detailed one with the support staff.

“We will decide on the training sessions as we progress. We need to keep in mind the weather. It’s very warm and hot,” said Papas.

The boys had earlier assembled in Bangalore on May 15 and went through a series of physical tests. Besides the training sessions, they also played six friendly matches against top local clubs, while winning all matches.

The squad is scheduled to have its first training session at the Ambedkar Stadium on Saturday.
