SC Heerenveen winger Luciano Narsingh is one of the youngsters in the Netherlands squad for the UEFA EURO 2012. The Indian origin footballer scored his first goal for the “Elftal” in friendly match against FC Bayern Munich in late May, while he earned his first full international cap for the Dutch team only a few days ago.
Narsingh will be the second Surinamese player of Indian origin to represent the Netherlands in a major competition after Aron Winter. Winter was a member of the Dutch national team, which won the UEFA EURO 1988 in Germany.
