Defending European Champions and reigning World Champions Spain were held to a 1-1 draw by Italy in a Group C match at the UEFA EURO 2012.
Italy took the lead in the 60th minute through substitute Antonio Di Natale, while Cesc Fabregas leveled the score just four minutes later.
The match was an interesting and eventful match to watch for neutral football fans with both team playing an offensive game of football at the Arena Gdansk.
Substitute Fernando Torres failed to convert two clear chances for the Spanish team and the favourites had to settle for a 1-1 draw at the end.
