BREAKING NEWS: Russia fined a points deduction

The UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body today decided to impose a suspended deduction of six points and a monetary fine of €120,000 on the Football Union of Russia (RFS) as a result to the improper conduct of its supporters during the UEFA EURO 2012 match against the Czech Republic.

The suspended points deduction will come to effect in the qualifying competition of the next UEFA EURO 2016 with the probationary period running until the end of the play-offs.

The RFS may lodge an appeal against this decision within three days of the dispatch of the written decision.
