India keeper Subrata Pal ready for trials at RB Leipzig

Indian national team keeper Subrata Pal is at the verge to have trials with German 4th Division (Regionalliga Nordost) outfit RB Leipzig. RB Leipzig is one of the clubs owned by Austrian energy drink-maker Red Bull.

The trial for the star keeper has been arranged by Red Bull’s Indian division. Subrata has recently joined Kolkata’s Prayag United from Pune FC, but he had always the dream of playing abroad. The trial with RB Leipzig would be the second attempt abroad for the 25-year-old Indian international after an unsuccessful one with MLS outfit Vancouver Whitecaps FC.

Subrata is expected to leave for Germany by the end of the week depending on his application for a German visa. The India star would stay in Germany until early August. Further details will be disclosed at a press conference in Kolkata on Thursday.
