Subrata: Leipzig is the place where I can push myself

Indian international Subrata Pal is on his way to Germany for a trial with 4th Division club RB Leipzig. The 25-year-old keeper faced the media ahead of his journey on Thursday.

“I’m a fan of the German team and their former goalkeeper Oliver Kahn,” Subrata Pal told at a press conference organised by Red Bull India. “By God’s grace if I get a chance to play in the Bundesliga my dream will come true.”

“It’s fair to say that German football development plans are about the best in the world at the moment,” he continued. “It’s always been a dream for me to train in a system that pushes things to the next level.”

“I’m confident that RB Leipzig is the place where I can really push myself and can develop myself into a better and stronger player,” the star keeper added.

Subrata will arrive in Leipzig on Saturday for the two-week long trial with the German club and he will return to India for the national team camp on August 5.
