India hammers Afghanistan to enter SAFF Final

The Indian Women’s national team has entered the 2012 SAFF Women’s Championship final with a convincing 11-0 win against Afghanistan at the CR&FC Grounds, Colombo on Friday.

India skipper Oinam Bembem Devi and midfielder Yumnam Kamala Devi scored a hat-trick, while Sasmita Malik (2x), Irom Prameshwori Devi, Pinky Bompal Magar and Ashem Romi Devi scored the other goals for the defending champions.

The Indian team will face the winner of the second semifinal between Nepal and hosts Sri Lanka in the final on Sunday.
