Federation Cup 2012: Salgaocar trounce United Sikkim

Salgoacar continued their good run in the Federation Cup after trouncing United Sikkim 3-0 courtesy goals from Angel Guirado, Nicolao Colaco and Anthony D’Souza in their second Group D encounter at Keenan Stadium here on Saturday (September 22).

Guirado – playing in place of Sean Rooney – headed home from a flag kick as early as in the 2nd minute to give the defending champions the lead. Karim Bencherifa’s wards put the match being doubt late in the second half after Colaco and D’Souza found the back the net in the 81st and 85th minutes respectively.

With this match, Salgaocar go to six points while United Sikkim remain rock bottom with nothing to show for after two matches.
