Federation Cup 2012: East Bengal through to the final

East Bengal Club have entered the final of the 34th Federation Cup 2012 courtesy to a late extra-time goal by Lalrindika Ralte. The Kolkatan side defeated Churchill Brothers 1-0 at the Kanchanjungha Stadium on Thurday.

Lalrindika Ralte came on as a late substitute in the 91st minute and he helped East Bengal to secure their fourth consecutive entry to the final of the Federation Cup. The young Indian international replaced Harmanjot Singh Khabra and put a pefectly timed right-footer past Churchill keeper Sandip Nandy in the 110th minute.

East Bengal will face the winner of Friday’s semifinal between Dempo SC and Salgaocar SC in their quest to lift the title on Sunday.
