India ranked 52nd in latest FIFA Women’s Rankings

The Indian Women’s national team remain 52nd (11th in Asia) in the latest FIFA Women’s World Ranking relased on Friday.

India has secured a total of 1441 points in the last ranking for 2012 and they keep their position ahead of the likes of Iran, Equatorial Guinea, Northern Ireland and South Africa.

Olympic champions USA heads the FIFA Women’s World Ranking with 2209 points ahead of Germany (2171 points), Japan (2110), Brazil (2044) and France (2033).

Bhutan have made their way to the FIFA Women’s World Ranking for the very first time. The South Asians are ranked 128th in the world despite losing their first three matches.

Meanwhile Angola and Georgia have been removed from the ranking due the inactivity of their women’s teams.
