German Bundesliga side FC Schalke 04 have sacked their Dutch coach Huub Stevens as a result to the 1-3 defeat to the hands of SC Freiburg.
The club management was disappointed about the recent results in the Bundesliga which left the club stranded at a 7th spot in the league table, despite impressive performances in the UEFA Champions League and their qualification to the Round of 16.
The club took the decision on Sunday morning and they have named their U-17 coach Jens Keller as the interim coach for the remaining matches ahead of the winter break.
