Two Indian kids win a trainining stint with EPL side QPR

Rudolph D’Souza and Uzair Ansari have won the 4th Milind Deora Junior Soccer Championship 2012 and an once in a lifetime opportunity to train with English Premier League side Queens Park Rangers.

The 12 year old Rudolph and 14 year old Uzair won the competition organsied by the Milind Deora Initiative in partnership with QPR, Coca-Cola and Nirmal Lifestyles. More than 4,100 children from 200 schools in South Mumbai participated in the Championship held at the Western Railways football Grounds, Lower Parel.

Boys and girls in the age groups of Under-8, Under-10, Under-12, Under-14, Under-16 and Under-18 categories took part in the sessions and the best 30 participants were selected for the final phase under the watchful eyes of various QPR Academy and local coaches.

Rudolph and Uzair were able to impress the coaches and to win a four week training stint at the QPR Academy of the London based Premiership club.
