Sunil Chhetri: The Sporting CP experience has been great

Indian national team skipper Sunil Chhetri recently joined I-League side Churchill Brothers SC on loan from Sporting Clube de Portugal and he has made a first evaluation about his Portuguese journey.

“I didn’t get alot of game time… however the experience has been great,” Sunil told when asked about his experiences with the Portuguese giants’ ‘B’ team during Churchill’s pre-match press conference [+ more details] ahead of their 2013 AFC Cup encounter against Hong Kong’s Kitchee SC.

“They have one of the best academies in the world which is only second to Barcelona’s academy,” Sunil continued.

“I hope I have improved as a footballler and can implement what I have learnt over there at Churchill Brothers,” the star striker concluded.
