Churchill coach Mariano Dias unhappy after AFC Cup tie

Churchill Brothers SC coach Mariano Dias was an unhappy man after the 2-2 draw [+ match report] against Indonesia’s Semen Padang FC on Tuesday.

Talking to the media, Dias’ told: “I’m not happy with the game and we should have won this match.”

“The second goal was a gift. Our goalkeeper is not to be blamed for the second goal as there were two defensive mistakes.”

“We have to play well in the next match and we need to win it,” the coach continued. “The second half was better. Tamba has to combine well with the other defenders.”

“Todays match was good and we should have won the game,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, Semen coach Jafri Sastrak has expressed his satisfaction about the result: “I’m happy with the point. One point is a good result for us.”

“The number 10 (Roberto ‘Beto’ Mendes Silva) and number 47 (Sunil Chhetri) of Churchill were really good,” he added.
