BREAKING NEWS: FIFA President Sepp Blatter’s Twitter account hacked

The official Twitter accounts of FIFA President Joseph S. Blatter (@SeppBlatter) and the FIFA World Cup (@FIFAWorldCup) have been hacked by a group called “SyrianElectronicArmy” on late Monday evening.

The hackers posted various messages including a statement that the FIFA President will be stepping down from his post at the helm of football’s governing body and that he has been receiving bribery for many years.

Here are a few messages posted by the hackers:
• So what if I took money from Qatari prince? I am the family’s bread earner (via @SeppBlatter)
• It was decided that the president Sepp Blatter is to step down due to corruption charges (via @FIFAWorldCup)
• For almost fifteen years I have toiled for this organization #FIFA (via @SeppBlatter)
• I have recommended his excellency prince Ali Bin Al Hussein of Jordan as my successor (via @SeppBlatter)
• The royal family has done much for #FIFA, I am sure Jordan will make an excellent host for 2030 (via @SeppBlatter)
