East Bengal Club won their final 2013 AFC Cup Group H match to top the group and to qualify for the pre-quarterfinals of the competition.
East Bengal hosted Vietnam’s Xuan Thanh Sai Gon FC at the Saltlake Stadium yesterday and they were able to finish their group stage campaigh with a 4-1 victory.
c opened the scoresheet from the spot in the 8th minute, while Australian striker Andrew Barisic doubled the lead moments before the half-time whistle.
Penn Orji sealed East Bengal’s win with a brace in the 53rd and 59th minute. The visitors put one goal back, when Christian Amougou found the back of the net in the 61st minute.
