India drops a spot in the latest FIFA World Rankings

The Indian national team has dropped a spot in the latest FIFA World Rankings released today.

Wim Koevermans’ team is now ranked 150th in the world and 25th in Asia with 178 points to their tally. India has four points lesser than Liechtenstein and Luxembourg who are ranked a joint 148th in the ranking, while Hong Kong is placed 151st with 176 points.

Afghanistan remains the best team from the South Asian (SAFF) region at 140 (210 points). Reigning World and European Champions Spain kept their position at the top of the FIFA World Rankings ahead of Germany, Argentina, Croatia and Portugal.

Brazil, the former World Champions and hosts of the 2014 FIFA World Cup , are ranked 19th in the latest ranking.
