Mohammedan Sporting coach Sanjoy Sen resigns

Mohammedan Sporting Club coach Sanjoy Sen has resigned from his post due to personal reasons.

Sen guided Mohammedan Sporting to the I-League a few weeks ago, when his team gained promotion to the 1st Division with a goalless draw against Bhawanipore FC in their penultimate 2nd Division I-League match held in Bangalore.

Mohammedan Sporting roped in Sen just a few days before the 2nd Division I-League kicked-off and the coach did his best to form a competitive team. The Kolkata club consequently returned to the top tier of Indian club football after a gap of four years.

The club tried to extend the contract with Sanjoy Sen, but the coach declined due to family reasons according to information from Kolkata.

Mohammedan Sporting have set May 15 as a deadline to announce their new coach for the upcoming season.
