Mohammedan Sporting sign East Bengal’s Penn Ikechukwu Orji

Mohammedan Sporting Club have signed East Bengal’s playmaker Penn Ikechukwu Orji.

The newly promoted I-League side from Kolkata were able to convince the Nigerian footballer to switch loyalties ahead of the new season.

Orji signed the deal today and he will join various other impressive signings like Salgaocar’s Brazilian duo Luciano Sabrosa and Josimar da Silva Martins, besides Australian Tolgay Ozbey (Mohun Bagan AC) who played along with the Nigerian at East Bengal two seasons ago.

The 28-year-old Lagos-born midfielder made his debut in India when he joined JCT in 2009. Orji left the Phagwara-based team to join East Bengal in 2010.
