Suoeka’s lone goal hands East Bengal an AFC Cup win

Ryuji Suoeka scored the winner as East Bengal Club defeated Indonesia’s Semen Padang FC in the AFC Cup Quarterfinal 1st leg match at the Saltlake Stadium today.

Suoeka was brought on as a substitute by East Bengal coach Marcos Falopa in the 54th minute and the Japanese attacking midfielder rewared the confidence in him with a goal in the 70th minute.

Suoeka curled a shot from the edge of the box to leave Semen Padang keeper Jandia Eka Putra stranded.

East Bengal will travel to Indonesia next week to play the 2nd leg at the Agus Salim Stadium in Padang on September 24.
