East Bengal enter AFC Cup semis to create history


East Bengal Club have advanced to the AFC semifinal after a 1-1 draw against Semen Padang FC today. The Kolkata giants secured a 2-1 win on aggregate courtesy to their win in the first leg last week.

Edward Junior Wilson scored for the Indonesian side at the Agus Salim Stadium, but James Moga scored the vital away goal to level the scoreline.

The AFC Cup semifinal matches will be played in October – 1st leg (October 1) & 2nd leg (October 22).
