India to play the Philippines in a friendly match

The Indian senior national team will host the Philippines in an international friendly match on November 15.

The “Azkals” are currently ranked 141st in the FIFA World Ranking, while Wim Koevermans’ team is ranked 155th.

Both teams have met four times in the history of these two national sides. India have won two matches, lost one and drew one so far.

Phillip James Younghusband scored two goals in the last meeting to hand the Philippines a 2-0 win in the AFC Challenge Cup in Kathmandu in March 2012.

The venue for the friendly match is yet to be decided.
