Kerala spectacularly advance to the Santosh Trophy final phase

Kerala have booked their place in the final phase of the 68th Santosh Trophy 2014 with two injury time goals in the last South Zone qualifier against Karnataka.

Karnataka took a 2-0 lead (26th & 28th minute) in the first half, before Shibin Lal VK reduced the margin in the 36th minute.

It looked like Karnataka would manage to get away with a 2-1 win, but Kerala hit back twice in the long injury time to turn the match into their favour.

The former champions levelled the score line through Surjith VV in the 95th minute, just to see Shibin Lal VK score the late winner for Kerala four minutes later.

Kerala advance to the 68th Santosh Trophy 2014 final phase with a 3-2 win.
