India climb two spots in the latest FIFA World Ranking

The Indian national team has climbed two spots in the latest FIFA World Ranking released today.

India is now ranked a joint 154th in the world (31st in Asia) along with Guayana. Both countries have 149 points on their account.

Afghanistan (138th) once again remain the best team from South Asia ahead of India, the Maldives (163rd), Bangladesh (164th), Pakistan (165th), Nepal (169nd), Sri Lanka (171st), and Bhutan (207).

Spain, Germany and Argentina retained first, second and third places respectively, while Switzerland (6th, up 2) leapfrogged Uruguay (7th, down 1) and Italy (8th, down 1).

The next FIFA World Ranking will be released on March 13.
