VIDEO: Mohammedan Sporting Club wins the 118th IFA Shield 2014

Kolkata side Mohammedan Sporting Club have won the 118th IFA Shield 2014 final against Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club on Saturday.

The visitors from Bangladesh took the lead in the 27th minute when Sony Norde found the back of the net from a freekick. But Mohammedan Sporting levelled the score line moments before the half-time whistle as an unmarked Mehrajuddin Wadoo slotted home.

Both teams didn’t produce any goals in the second half and the final continued with an extra-time. But the extra-time remained goalless and it needed a penalty shoot-out to find the new IFA Shield champions.

Mohammedan Sporting won the penalty shoot-out 4-3 to claim their first IFA Shield title after a gap of 43 years.
