AIFF Navi Mumbai Academy boys face PIFA Sports

The All India Football Federation (AIFF) Navi Mumbai Academy Boys are on a roll. Competing in their maiden U-19 I-League Tournament, the colts in blue have impressed one and all by not only triumphing in all their outings but also displaying a brand of Football that has got the better of more experienced teams like Pune FC and Mumbai FC.

So when they take on PIFA Sports Club U-19 Team in a round five tie at the Goans Ground on Saturday (February 22), all eyes will be on them as they look to extend their glorious run.

“Any Coach would be proud of the string of good results. The boys are playing well and more importantly as a Team,” Head Coach Sajid Dar told AIFF Media. “It was seen in last match also that some new Players were included in the first eleven and the result shows how the boys are enjoying in different atmosphere and conditions as well.”

“Playing as a team is the most important part when you play in these kind of Competitions and I believe in coming matches our boys will play with the same potential and team work,” he added.

Five of the Players who were away strutting their stuff at the famed Aspire Academy in Doha would be available for selection, the Coach informed. “Rakesh Oram, Milan Basumatary, Bidyananda Singh, Simranjit Singh, N Dheeraj Singh will be available for selection tomorrow,” the Coach informed.

PIFA Sports on the other hand have only managed to bag one point from five matches and will be looking to go all out against the AIFF Academy Boys.
