First-ever Grassroots Course in Himachal Pradesh

The first-ever All India Football Federation (AIFF) Grassroots Course was successfully conducted in Himachal Pradesh from February 21 till 23, 2014.

A total of 35 coaches from different parts of the country attended the course. The course was conducted by AIFF Grassroots Instructor Anju Turambekar.

The course which had practical and theory sessions saw participation of 112 kids in the Football Festival on the last day.

The importance of grassroots football and small sided games and age-specific activities were once again the toast of the sessions. The Grassroots Football Festival comprised of technical stations and small sided games in rotation.

The closing ceremony was attended by Satpal Rai Zada, President Block Congress Committee UNA and other HPFA and DFA UNA members.

The participants were given a Grassroots Leaders Certificate/Himachal Pradesh Football Association (HPFA) Grassroots Programme and a trophy.
