The UEFA Champions League quarterfinal draw is out

The UEFA Champions League quarterfinal draw took place at the UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland a few moments ago.

The draw ceremony has once again produced four mouth-watering encounters. Defending champions FC Bayern Munich will face Manchester United, while last year’s losing finalist Borussia Dortmund will take on Real Madrid CF.

FC Barcelona has been drawn against Spanish rivals Club Atlético de Madrid. Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea FC will clash in the fourth quarterfinal.

For the first time in the UEFA Champions League history, all eight group winners have made it into the quarterfinals. The quarterfinal stage has three teams from Spain, two teams each from Germany and England and one team from France.

The quarterfinal matches will be played on April 1/2 and April 8/9. The semifinal draw will be conducted in Nyon on April 11, while the two matches would be played on April 22/23 and April 29/30.

The UEFA Champions League final will be held on May 24 at the Estádio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica in Lisbon.
