Sporting Clube de Goa confident against Mohun Bagan

Sporting Clube de Goa will battle it out against Mohun Bagan AC in the I-League at PJN Stadium, Fatorda on Sunday. The kick off time is 17.00 IST.

Sporting Goa is currently fourth in the standings with 29 points from eighteen matches, while Mohun Bagan is on 21 points from twenty matches.

“We have been practicing well for the last two weeks and I feel now is the time to show consistency in our performances,” stated the Sporting Goa Coach Oscar Bruzon.

Despite only picking up two points from a possible twelve in their last four outings, Oscar feels very confident of victory as he has a fit squad to choose from.

“Since the Federation Cup final, we have had many key players out with injury and this is the first time in a long time that I have got a full fit squad,” remarked Oscar.

Oscar believes that the team has to show focus and win the small situational battles that present themselves. “It is the small details that we need to take advantage off, which will reap huge results,” reasoned Oscar.

The Flaming Oranje Coach feels that Mohun Bagan’s form has not been great of late and his team has to be patient and attack the game when the opportunities present themselves.

“We respect our opponents, but I know what my players are capable off. I am sure the game is going to be a typical Goan-Kolkata cracker and a real treat for fans off both teams,” signed off Oscar.
