AIFF Elite Academy boys breeze past Salgaocar FC Reserves

The All India Football Federation’s Elite Academy boys were all over the Salgaocar FC Reserves Team strolling to a fully-deserved 4-1 victory over the Goan counterparts in a friendly match played at Bits Pilani Ground in Vasco.

Sumit Passi and Naro Hari notched up doubles either side of halftime to ensure an emphatic triumph for Colm Joseph Toal’s U-19 boys who form the core of the Indian U-19 national team.

While Passi scored in quick succession, finding the back of the net in the span of two minutes after the initial exchanges in the first 20 minutes, Naro Hari got on the scoresheet one minute into the second half only to complete his brace five minutes to full time.

The visitors pulled one back at the end of the first half when it was 2-0 in favour of the Academy boys.

The AIFF Elite Academy next play the Sporting Clube de Goa Reserves on April 10.
