Manchester United sack manager David Moyes

English Premiership side Manchester United FC have sacked their manager David Moyes only ten months after succeeding Sir Alex Ferguson.

The club announced the decision on Tuesday morning with a brief statement which said that “Manchester United has announced that David Moyes has left the Club.”

“The Club would like to place on record its thanks for the hard work, honesty and integrity he brought to the role.”

The 50-year-old Scotsman was under fire after poor performances by the team in the last weeks and months.

Manchester United has announce Ryan Giggs as a player-coach for the next few assignments, while the search for a new manager is in full swing.

The list of possible new managers include Netherlands coach Louis Van Gaal, Borussia Dortmund’s Jürgen Klopp, Atletico Madrid’s Diego Simeone and Paris St-Germain’s Laurent Blanc.
