Smaaash Corporate Indoor Soccer Championship 2014 on July 12/13

Smaaash, India’s fastest growing and expanding entertainment center, is sponsoring the 7th edition of the Smaaash Corporate Indoor Soccer Championship 2014, an inter-corporate indoor soccer championship tournament to be played at the Phoenix Market City Mall, Kurla, one of India’s largest malls on Saturday/Sunday, July 12/13.

The tournament is powered by Castrol Activ and co-sponsored by Franklin Templeton and HDFC Bank and has been conceived and managed by Saran Sports. This Championship is registered in the Limca Book of Records as the largest and longest running corporate indoor soccer championship.

The courtyard at Phoenix Market City will be converted into a specially set-up virtual soccer arena to enable the enthusiastic corporate executives, representing their respective teams to dish out an exciting fast-paced brand of soccer.

The event is being played indoors and special rules are being structured to ensure that the matches though competitive are fun. There shall be no goalkeepers or offside and the ball shall always be in play with the players allowed to utilise the sideboards to make play.

The men’s team shall comprise of four players and the ladies team shall comprise of five players. Matches shall be played on a league-cum-knockout basis.
