CONCACAF President Jeffrey Webb to open the Soccerex Americas Forum

Jeffrey Webb, President of the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football will officially open the upcoming Soccerex Americas Forum, which will take place on 21-22 October at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre, in partnership with the Barbados Tourism Authority.

Having been in the hot seat for just over two years now, Webb has been instrumental in the overhaul of football within the region through his roles as chairman of the FIFA Anti-Racism and Discrimination Task Force and member of the FIFA Internal Audit Committee and FIFA Transparency and Compliance Committee. The Confederation has also seen a significant improvement on the pitch with improved attendances across its domestic leagues as well as its member nations producing their strongest World Cup performance to date.

With the conference agenda focusing on a number of topics including sport tourism, league expansion, player development and hosting major events, representatives from the CONCACAF region will be playing an important role across the Forum.

Commenting on the Forum, Jeffrey Webb said: “We’re very happy to be working on this new project with Soccerex, to help aid the growth and expansion of football across the Americas. With three distinct regions within CONCACAF, the Soccerex Americas Forum will play an important role in uniting our member federations and encouraging international cooperation and business development across all of the great cities of our three regions.”

Soccerex CEO Duncan Revie said: “Jeffrey has been a passionate supporter of Soccerex over the years and it was his enthusiasm which led us to stage the event in the Caribbean. We’re looking forward to working alongside CONCACAF and their network to ensure a successful and productive event for everyone in attendance.”
