Cameroon international Pierre Boya joins Mohun Bagan

Mohun Bagan AC have roped in Pierre Boya as their Marquee Player ahead of the 2014-15 I-League season.

The former Cameroon international signed a contract with the Mariners to join them from Albanian Superliga side FK Kukësi. Boya has enjoyed various stints in different European leagues including Serbian heavyweights Partizan Belgrade.

Boya has played for Partizan in the Serbian SuperLiga from 2003 to 2007 and 2010 to 2011. He also represented Partizan in the 2004-05 UEFA Cup group stages, scoring both goals for the ‘Crno-beli’ (The Black-Whites) to clinch a 2-2 away result against Italy’s S.S. Lazio. Partizan qualified for the 2010–11 UEFA Champions League during Boya’s second stint with the club in 2010.

Boya did also play for Salam Zgharta (Lebanon), FC Rapid București (Romania), Grenoble Foot 38 (France), SC Austria Lustenau (Austria) and Randers FC (Denmark).

Internationally, he has represented ‘The Indomitable Lions’ on four occasions between 2005 and 2007, also having a goal to his name.
