India U-16 get a walkover against Timor Leste U-16 national team

The AIFF XI (India U-16), represented by the All India Football Federation’s Kalyani Regional Academy boys, got a walkover against the Timor Leste U-16 national team in their last match of the Asia Champions Trophy 2014 at the Barasat Stadium on Saturday.

The Match Commissioner and the Referees who were present awarded three points to AIFF XI. The AIFF XI thus, finished their engagements on 11 points from 10 matches.

The tournament was played on a Home and Away format and this was the first time an Indian age-group team ever participated in such a format.

The Kalyani Regional Academy boys, however, made the most of the occasion as they played a Friendly Match against the IFA Academy at the Barasat Stadium to win 4-1.
