Real Madrid signs Colombian sensation James Rodríguez

Spanish giants Real Madrid CF have announced the signing of Colombian shooting star James Rodríguez. The announcement was made on the official club website earlier today.

Real Madrid Official Statement:

Real Madrid CF have reached an agreement with AS Mónaco FC to buy James Rodríguez, who will join the club for the next six seasons.

The player will be presented today, Tuesday 22 July, at 20:00 CET, in the Santiago Bernabéu’s presidential box.

Following that, James Rodríguez will take his first steps on the Santiago Bernabéu’s pitch wearing the Real Madrid jersey and will then answer questions from the media outlets in attendance in the press room.

The 23 year old attacking midfielder and winger will join the Spaniards for a transfer fee of €80m according to various media reports.

James Rodríguez was one of the star peformers of the recently concluded 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, where is won the Golden Boot Awards with six goals to his name.

The Colombian youngster is Real’s second high profile summer transfer after the signing of World Cup winning German international Toni Kroos from FC Bayern Munich.
