Facile win for AIFF U-16 Kalyani Regional Academy boys

The All India Football Federation’s U-16 Kalyani Regional Academy made short work of Uttarpara Sporting Club 2-0 in a friendly match at the A-Block Ground in the picturesque suburban town of Kalyani, West Bengal.

The AIF Academy boys surged into the lead as early as the 12th minute when Deependra Singh Negi put them ahead. Thereafter, the AIFF Academy boys didn’t allow the momentum to swift to the other side and stayed content in playing among themselves and catching the opposition unaware with their sudden burst of speed.

Changing over, Krishna Pandit doubled the lead in the 59th minute.

The AIFF Academy boys had finished 4th in Group A with 11 points in the recently concluded 2014 U-16 Asia Champions Trophy which was played on a home-and-away basis.
