Nike and Atlético de Madrid renew collaboration agreement

Nike has announced the renewal of its collaboration agreement with the current Spanish league champions, Atlético de Madrid, until 2026. The agreement, which started in 2001, will be valid at least until 2026, thus cementing a 25-year relationship.

“We are extremely proud to announce the continuation of the agreement with Atlético de Madrid, which first started in 2001. The philosophies of hard work and team spirit that have made the club Spanish League champions, are 100 percent in keeping with Nike’s core values,” stated Trevor Edwards, President of the Nike Brand.

Nike and Atlético de Madrid started their collaboration during the 2001 season, and a 25-year collaboration will be sealed once this deal is signed.

Miguel Ángel Gil Marín, Club Atlético de Madrid CEO, added: “We face every season with increased anticipation, eagerness and ambition, and to be able to count on Nike, a selective, demanding collaborator that is the world leader in this sport, undoubtedly constitutes very important support for us. The continuity of this agreement signifies NIke’s belief in us and in our project.”
