French legend David Trézéguet joins ISL franchise FC Pune City

The Hero Indian Super League (ISL) will see the arrivial of another former legend of the beautiful game as former France international David Trézéguet will be seen in action for FC Pune City.

The Pune-based ISL franchise announced the official name of the team and the signing of their marquee player today.

The 36-year-old striker has won the 1998 FIFA World Cup and the 2000 UEFA Euro with the French national team, which he represented 71 times while scoring 34 goals.

Trezeguet was born in Rouen (France) and grew up in Buenos Aires (Argentina). He started off his football career at Argentina’s Club Atlético Platense before he started his journey in Europe at French side AS Monaco FC.

He has also played for Juventus (Italy), Hércules (Spain), Baniyas SC (UAE), Club Atlético River Plate (Argentina) and Newell’s Old Boys (Argentina).
