Brazil legend Zico to coach ISL side FC Goa

FC Goa have announced that legendary Brazilian Arthur Antunes Coimbra, popularly known as Zico, has agreed to be the Head Coach of their team that will play in the inaugural Hero Indian Super League (ISL).

Zico signed the contract today in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, while representatives of FC Goa will travel to Brazil shortly to help him to complete the visa formalities.

The franchise owners Shrinivas Dempo, Dattaraj Salgaocar and Venugopal Dhoot expressed great happiness and welcomed Zico to FC Goa. They said that this was a proud moment for the franchise and they were honoured that a football legend of the stature of Zico had agreed to coach FC Goa.

Zico’s signing was made possible due to the efforts of Amaury Nunes and Beto D’Solva.
