Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup supports the Soccerex Global Convention

The Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy has confirmed a major presence at this year’s Soccerex Global Convention, taking place on September 6-10, in Manchester.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup hosts have signed up as event supporters, taken up sponsorship of the delegate lanyards and committed to an exclusive presentation which will see them use the Convention, the industry’s premier platform, to update Soccerex delegates on Qatar’s plans to host football’s showpiece event.

With new stadia and infrastructure projects to be built, training facilities to be supplied and sponsorships to be agreed on, this represents a unique opportunity for the entire football business industry to be involved in the World Cup. The Soccerex Global Convention will be the place where the industry gets the chance to meet the key decision makers from the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy.

Soccerex Chairman Tony Martin said: “It is a huge honour to welcome our friends from the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy to another Soccerex event. The vision to be presented by Qatar is truly spectacular and something football has never witnessed before.”

The Soccerex Global Convention kicks off with the Football Festival on September 6-7th, with the conference starting on September 8th. A packed international exhibition and a programme of networking and social events complete the schedule for what is widely acknowledged as the world’s leading football business event.

This session is one of a series of headline Conference panels addressing the most pressing topics in world football, including commercial club strategies, financial and legal governance, fan experience and league development.
