FC Goa begins first day of training with Zico

Hero Indian Super League (ISL) side FC Goa conducted their first training session under the watchful eyes of Brazilian legend and head coach Zico at the Tilak Maidan Stadium on Thursday.

Zico, who arrived in India on Monday, was assisted by Dempo SC head coach Arthur Papas, who will be the assistant coach of FC Goa during the inaugural season of the ISL.

“It’s the first day. I’ve observed the team today but the boys look physically fit and ready to go, especially the Indian players,” Zico told after the training session

“Starting tomorrow we will start training twice a day. In the days to follow, when I get to know the teams better, I will be sharing my tactical strategy and philosophy with the team.”

FC Goa will kick-off its ISL campaign against Team Chennai on October 16.
