India drops eight spots in FIFA World Ranking

The Indian national team has dropped eight spots in the latest FIFA World Ranking released today.

India are now ranked a joint 158th in the world together with Thailand and 30th in Asia with 116 points to the account. The Indian team is flanked by Puerto Rico (157th / 126 points) and Swaziland (160th / 114 points).

Afghanistan (135th / 214 points) are once again the best team from the South Asian (SAFF) region ahead of the Maldives (145th), India, Pakistan (175th), Sri Lanka (176th), Bangladesh (181st), Nepal (183rd) and Bhutan (208th).

Germany (1st / 1765 points) and Argentina (2nd) have slightly extended their lead at the top of the FIFA World Ranking. Colombia have climbed one spot to be ranked 3rd ahead of the Netherland (4th) and Belgium (5th).

The next edition of the FIFA World Ranking will be released on October 23.
