India U-16 Girls prove too strong for St. Xavier's U-16 Boys

The India U-16 girl’s national team presently training at the SAI NSWC, Gandhi Nagar, Gujarat for the forthcoming AFC U-16 Women’s Championship Qualifiers defeated the St. Xavier’s U-16 boys team 6-1 in a practice match.

While Nisha and Punhun Shullet scored a brace each, Roja Devi and Daya Devi scored one apiece for the U-16 girls. The opponents reduced the margin in the 89th minute.

The AFC U-16 Women’s Championship Qualifiers are to be played in Dhaka, Bangladesh from October 14 to 23, 2014. Besides hosts Bangladesh, India have been clubbed in Group B along with Iran, Jordan, UAE and Qatar.
